Number One 5v5!

This week was pretty exciting for 5v5 as we went 31-3 and ranked up to claim number one 5v5 in the battle group. Reckful streamed most of the games and as always you can hear us being ridiculous on vent and calling out random things. Make sure and try to check out the games if you missed them on the video on demand function under Reckful's livestream.

Moonlight Sonata

I decided to make up a strat called “Moonlight Sonata” (I thought of it in music class) where basically you counterspell the Paladin's first heal CC the other healer and then try and 100-0 the pally while he's locked out. It was more one of those strats that's more fun to try than it actually being functional. I wish Reckful would fix the stream so you guys could hear himself talk. One game he called “MOONLIGHT ON THIS HUNTER” and yeah.. you can't counterspell steady shot man.. I found it most effective when I would start my first frostbolt on the pally as a focus frostbolt just so the other team doesn't realize the swap right away.

Arcane in 5s?

Some games that night I went arcane (which my teammates hate) and found that it's actually a pretty decent spec to swap to while queuing. I wouldn't recommend sticking arcane for an entire queue night but swapping arcane some games can be a nice surprise versus some teams. Arcane blast damage can get to around 10-12k crits with 3-4 stacks. It's easy to stack up arcane blast with Bloodlust especially if a team is not focusing you. Arcane brings a lot more damage to the table but way less control with snares and novas. My main spec in 5s is of course a standard frost build, I really don't re-spec for 5v5 so I just play whatever frost spec I am for 3s.

Reckful #2

I'm not sure if Reckful was streaming this night but it was about two weeks ago when we queue and Reckful just isn't joining the game. We start yelling for Reckful on vent because he plays with speakers so either him or his brother would hear us. I start yelling for his brother Gary who informs us that Reckful is in the bathroom. We told Gary how to stealth Reckful's character so the other team wouldn't instantly kill him. It turned out Reckful was taking a HUGE dump and he had to wipe real quick wash his hands and run on the comp for the game. Now that's dedication. When Reckful came back he was stealthed and ready to win the game, and of course we won.
